Mike and I want to thank everyone who helped out with our shag, especially my mom. I don't think she slept for the whole two weeks prior to the shag. It was nice to see everyone over the holidays. Mike and I are also happy to be back in Calgary and back into a routine. It was a tough start to the week with crazy flights and lost luggage, but everything seems to have returned to normal. Now that the shag is over the countdown to the wedding begins. I can't believe how fast everything is going by! There is not much new happening in Calgary, but we are lucky to be having some fantastic weather this weekend...it is plus 2! Our New Year's resolution is to try to post more often...hahaha. Countdown Begins
I can't believe it is already December. The time has just flown by. Mike and I are just beginning to think about Christmas shopping and we are very excited to be going home to visit family. I am especially looking forward to seeing Brad and Joey. Unfortunately we lost a friend this past week in a car accident and it really makes you think...how much time do we really have? She lost her life at such a young age and had so much going for her. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jasmine's family.

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY
Hello,
Life has been very crazy this last month or so. We have gone through the first month of bills and survived! Now we will have to see how we do during the winter. We have settled into the house and have started to put things up on the wall and make it our own. School has been busy for both of us. Mike has just finished coaching volleyball and soon he will be coaching basketball. His volleyball team won all of their tournaments. I have started the dreaded report cards for term 1. They are very time consuming and I have a hard time staying focused...that is why I am writing this blog right now. But my procrastination method seems to work each time...haha. We have started having fires in the backyard, luckily the weather has been nice enough for that. I have been busy making some final decisions on the wedding and trying to find some bridesmaid dresses. Jill and I started to make our song list as well. Our shag is coming up fast. I am thinking the turn out will be good...we even have quite a few people coming from out of town for it. I will be posting some new pics in the next few days. My mom has been on my case to show some pictures with people in it instead of just the house and the cats. I better get back to report cards :( Bye for now.
